NEW Adult Mental Health Patient Service to Ridge Meadows I Psychiatric Rapid Access Clinic You may know that our Division is working with our Fraser Health partners, specialists, community organizations and patients to improve patient access and services to Adult Mental Health through a new Shared Care project. We are very pleased to inform you that a new Psychiatric Rapid Access Clinic has opened in Ridge Meadows to improve access to psychiatric services at the Maple Ridge Mental Health Centre in the library building. The Rapid Access Clinic (RAC) is designed to provide GPs/NPs with timely access (within 2 to 4 weeks) to a Psychiatrist for one-time consultation regarding diagnosis, medication review, and treatment recommendations. This consultation service is intended to augment the current treatment already initiated by the GP/NP. We welcome Psychiatrist, Dr. Vijender Balain to our community who will be practicing in the clinic and also available for physician follow-up questions and advice regarding client consults every Monday.
